The Association raises operating funds by an annual assessment of a membership fee (currently $10 per household). The fees are usually collected in December during the distribution of Luminaria materials.
There are no salaries paid to Association officers; our work is purely voluntary, and we welcome all members to support our efforts with your time as well as your annual fee.
The luminaria is a tradition that started when this subdivision was carved out of the pastures and cornfields of a much younger Vienna. It is a beautiful sight, a treat to slowly drive through with your car’s parking lights only, and has even been broadcast on TV from the perspective of the station’s airplane flying overhead. It truly makes Westbriar special in the holiday season.
