Westbriar Civic Association contributed a new high tech stop sign to Westbriar Elementary School, to be used by their crossing guard at the busy intersection of Old Courthouse Road and Pine Valley Drive. This is the usual crossing point for walking students. The new sign features an array of sixteen very high intensity flashing LEDs, as well as a reflective red background which combine to enhance visibility, especially under low light conditions.

Shannon Soria, Admin. Assistant; Pery Tsianakas, Crossing Guard.

In presenting the sign, Westbriar President said, “Since we in Westbriar Civic are actually the major reason why Westbriar Elementary has a crossing guard, we offer to your crossing guard this signal device, as a “Thank You” for good service over the years, and to help in getting the children safely across the busy street in the years ahead. Westbriar Civic will also be responsible for maintenance should it be needed.”
