A Shout Out to a Great Neighbor
The Holidays seem to be brighter every year with the popularity of innovative LED lighting. Our bag and candle contribution to the festivities are a bit more vulnerable. This year they were rained out for the 24th and a bit of wind the next night snuffed out perhaps one in ten. Still, it looked great and we thank you all for your efforts.
The residents of Westbriar Zone E, which includes Course Street and parts of Westwood and Fairway Drives, and Old Courthouse Road, got an unexpected treat this year.
Jim Nelson, our Zone E Representative, has family members that are at special risk due to the pandemic. In the abundance of caution, rather than collecting the annual $10 fee, Jim decided to deliver the Luminaria materials without ringing the doorbells. Instead, he reached into his own pocket and, except for houses currently empty or under construction, paid the fee for everyone in his Zone. Thank you, Sir!
